Not thinking of changing.....just yet

#1 Post by zoidberg » Mon Jul 29, 2013 10:11 am

May sell my Falco.

I've not had it long and I do love it although I have been tempted buy a gen 2 Mille factory.

It's a 2001 in Black with Two new Bridgestone Battlax tyres which have done less than 500 miles.
Bike has done 17,500 miles
5 months tax remaining
12 months MOT
Has just had a full service at DW Motorcycles in Scarborough (http://www.dwmotorcycles.co.uk/) costing £220. The service included new spark plugs, new oil, new oil filter, a replacement O ring, all cleaned lines, new break and clutch fluids, a new air filter, and some replacement coolant piping. Recent chain and sprockets, datatool veto evo alarm and data tag.
I've just replaced the starter solenoid. And fitted a wayno tail tidy.

It has SL Carbon cans plus originals single seat plus pillion.

£1900 buys it or make me an offer near that. I'm in no rush, if it sells or doesn't I'm still happy.

Pm for more info

Thanks.

Falco

#3 Post by PH1969 » Mon Jul 29, 2013 6:51 pm

Mistake.

I sold my first Falco because someone told me if I liked the Falco I would love a Mille. I bought a Gen 2 RSV Nera and it was the biggest mistake, they are not even similar so why someone told me if I liked one I would the other?????

Keep the Falco, they're worth nothing and its hard to find a good one, you've done the hard work. My advice is buy the Mille, if you like it then sell the Falco after a couple of months, if you don't sell the Mille.

Well, if you do the swap, we are short of the Gen II bikes on the forum - it would be good to get one here with an active member.

If you keep the Falco, all good too :smt004

either way i'll still hang out here. :smt002

it's looking more likely to keep the Falco, i'll have a play on both at the weekend and see how it goes.

2001 gen 2????

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

For the hard of reading ..... he's thinking of selling his 2001 Falco to replace it with a GenII RSVR Factory .......

For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.

I thought gen 2 was from very late 2003 early 2004 ?
