RSV R headlight pattern

#1 Post by Falco Tom » Sun Jul 28, 2013 11:41 am

Just made change from 2000 Falco to2003 Mille RSV R after 10 years. Rode in dark couple of weeks ago - what a difference - terrible lights.
Did the Falco HID plus switch mod 3 years ago- best lights ever. Just done the same to Mille but main beam makes no difference to distance of beam, dip is great as expected with HID.
Main beam just shines in the same place as dip beam on the road. The only visable sign is the blue light on dash.
Is there any way to adjust main beam separately? ie more distance.
Ive looked for a better bike but there aren't any

I'm guessing not :-(

Have you tried replacing the bulbs? They do degrade with age. Might help a bit.

Actually got a couple of 80w bulbs in that i had lying around.
I am dissappionted with the lights as I've been spoilt with the Falco setup.
If I could just tweak up the mainbeam separately to the dip but looks like you have to take the light unit apart to do anything like that.
I may look on ebay for a spare light to play with.

Hi and welcome to Ridersite Tom

Sorry - I don't have any experience of Mille headlights so help you.

Tbh I never use full beam after fitting an hid dip....

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...
