Arrived for the BSB round at Snetterton. Went to park the bike and found the alarm passively set which is ok but couldn't disarm it. Great start to the day. Bike immobilised and no way of switching off.
Found out the button for setting and disarming the Meta alarm had somehow broke away from its solder joints.
I managed to borrow a screwdriver that one of my friends got from an Xmas cracker from one of our group that went, opened up the fob and repaired the blue Peter way with sticky back plastic and bobs your uncle started sweet as a nut when I went to leave. Moral of the story is, you may laugh at what is in a Xmas cracker, but this is certainly an early Xmas present that I won't forget.

IF you know the special code for your Meta alarm, you can disarm it by turning the ignition on and off repeatedly with the correct timing that relates to your code.
Hmmm ..... I can't say as I know my own code or how the sequence works ..... guess it's one of those things to store away in your phone "just in case"

My Datatool III won't disarm at a couple of locations due to background interference from transmission towers (they are usually at the top of hills with bendy roads so I frequent them when I can).
Fortunately I was able to recall the numbers from the day I set the code many years ago or I'd have been pushing for a while, at least it would have been downhill!
