heres what I want

The address of the Kitchen Factory Group - not a web address, but a postal address

its for some what personal reasons but some here will know what is in my fetid brain

what most here are not aware of is that my father in law to be is a senior barrister.....

Which one, as a search of companies house for their registered address reveals many Kitchen Factory results most of them dissolved

i want the head office... thats the key - they are very shadowy.....

lots of hidden companies, and ghost companies

I know the actual owner has done time for fraud but.... very very elusive

Reason for my ire..... 6 separate spam accounts all offering kitchens from the same (umbrella) company

And I have the time .... And they have pissed me off

I seem to remember, when this was discussed a while back, one of the consumer forums to which someone posted a link, had posts on the location of KFG; I've a feeling it was around Nottingham

Basically it appears that the main man is Vance Miller, but he is barred from running a Ltd. company until 2014, so James Holden's name now appears on the Company information. They appear to have 2 factories; one in Oldham, the other in Keighley. You should be able to find the address of the Oldham site somewhere in the thread.

Frankly, whatever you have planned I think will be a waste of time. These guys are professional scammers. Just delet the accounts and move on...

And quite frankly, if I was Mod/Admin I would delete all accounts that had zero posts and were over a year old. Then go through the ones that were left and delete all accounts with zero posts and a dodgy username and that didn't originate from UK or Yurop...

I do occasionally pm new people that turn up but don't post anything. I invite them into sam's bar to introduce themselves and get a round in.
I have two sat there at the moment waiting to be opened

Yup.. My thoughts. it's too much hassle for a bit of oneupmanship

And quite frankly, if I was Mod/Admin I would delete all accounts that had zero posts and were over a year old. Then go through the ones that were left and delete all accounts with zero posts and a dodgy username and that didn't originate from UK or Yurop..

Ah thats where it goes wrong. I know many users over 2 years old with no posts. also a lot are of a foreign nature

When I tried to join the Kawasaki Z400 forum which is exactly the same format as ridersite I had to click on a link.
The link asked me to post pictures of the kwak and the story about the bike before they allowed me access.
Because the bike is not a runner the administrators offered me assistance outside the forum for spares and links etc.
Because the bike is not complete I cannot join the forum.
Although.... I don't actually mind this because they might think I have no intentions of staying on the forum when the bike is finished?
Perhaps this could be done on our forum?
This to me will assist in stopping the scammers?

We do not have a problem with spammers now

The infamous spam it's are not an issue

The kitchen related ones are being created by people - probably on peanuts to do it

I also object to the individual behind the company....

We do have people that join but are silent (a bit like the old folks at a family gathering that sit round the edge just looking at what's going on).

I know some of them have appreciated the resource that is the forum - and some, after quite a length of time, have piped-up and joined in.
I'm not in favour of a wholesale cull on zero or low posters - though have considered it in the past I appreciate the value of the forum to some of them and the potential they have for the forum.

In fact I'm a low post count member on some other forums - particularly some classic Honda forums where I read a fair bit, post little but probably will get a bit more active once the work on my 400/4 gets underway - which may be a while.

........ spammers on the other hand ..... no time for them - but that's not a real problem at present.

OK, I understand the tolerance towards the shy retiring types who just browse but don't participate, but isn't there any way you can tell how often users have visited (rather than posted on) the site? If someone's registered username xgrsxzrw (for example) from Outer Mongolia and hasn't visited the site in 2 years, are they any great loss?

well

lets just say that sometimes we know a name... and some folk, as andy said, prefer to remain silent

even though many here enjoy the banter, it can scare some... only those with a black belt in sarcasm want to play.....

there are a fair few accounts that do need shafting - but remember that when we really had a spam problem we were getting in excess of 100 accounts A DAY being created.. and a lot got through - inactive, but need removing

as for site statistics - problem is that we are on a fairly old and limited version of php - one of the reasons why we wish to have total control is so that we can make the switch and keep current.....
