Hi all, my name is Steve and I am the proud owner of an oasis green Falco. Blinky pointed me in this direction (thanks) as I didnt realise there was a dedicated Falco forum. Anyway, I bought my bike from fleabay a few weeks back and have found her to be almost ideal in every way except for fuel economy and range (ran out of fuel on way to work and she isnt currently working after re-fuel but I have already been given advice on how to rectify and offers of help also, thanks for that again! Anyway, I will stop waffling and post a couple of pics, she really is a tidy machine, look forward to joining in on here.ImageImageImage
Of course you dont look fat on a Falco!

Hi Steve - welcome to the forum. You've got one of the very rare Green ones. Look after it well. Loads of good and reliable advice on here, but get your wallet out because we have lots of ideas on how to spend your cash!.

Nah..... Oasis greens are not for modding :smt018
Welcome to Ridersite Steve. there are lots of usefull tips on here like Davshill has pointed out.
Although this forum is for anybody who rides a bike it is mainly falco based, so you have come to the right place :smt023
I did notice that Aladinsane had been grooming you on AF1 so no doubt you will be meeting one of the clan pretty soon.
Feel free to join us on one of our annual meets which there should be one near you at the end of august beginning of September at Bunghay which should be arranged by Aladinsane and his lovely fiancé. We hope pete does have time to arrange.. Nudge nudge wink wink :smt064
Enjoy your new purchase its one of the best kept secrets in the biking world.

You lot are getting soft

Pint of drambuie please

And welcome

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Good point Jay but if he's gonna ride he'll want the benefit of our wisdom.

Steve - suggest you carefully wrap up all the original bits and store them safely away. Then when you've finished with it you can sell it Jay cos he's collecting all the Green ones for himself. :smt002

So the idea of using them to pull your sleigh for the christmas run no longer appeals then?

Right... so here we have another won't start issue..............
When you turn on the ignition do you here a whirring noise from the tank?
If the answer Is yes its not your fuel pump.
When cranking the bike over do you smell petrol?
If so its probably flooded. Remove the plugs.... Dry... Refit...use the fast idle on the left handlebar with no throttle.
I would also like to point out steve, we have an extensive search facility located at the top of the page.
There will be a lot of questions answered by using this facility.
A lot of issues on falco's have been covered before...
Read.... Try your best.... And if that doesn't help we are here :smt023
