Honda CB250G5

Some may remember my aquisition of this little beauty at the begining of the year.

Well, she's now been dug out of the garage and is undergoing a bit of a renovation. We're planning on her being one of the eclectic collection of motorcycles to head up to Inverness over the August bank holiday weekend. Being dubbed 'Epic Journey'.

Whoever had this example before us had spent a fair bit of time and effort, in what looks like trying to get her on the road. Under the surface rust and corrosion, she's not in too bad a condition.

Image
After dragging her out of storage, we got her fired up with the aid of a jump box and easy start. She wouldn't run under her own fuel supply...

Image
And this is why! After lot of scrubbing in the 'trike' bath, they came up alright. I forgot to take an after pic. Doh!

Work in progress.

Going to be quite loud I think!

More to post as work progresses.. Lots to do. :smt003

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the saddle.

Nice. Will be good to see it up and running. I had a CJ360 and loved it.

I'm going to have to pop over for a nostalgia trip.
