A new documentary film on Joey Dunlop is set to be broadcast on ITV4 on 6 June at 10pm
Should be worth watching

Too right andy. Joey Dunlop was one of my biking hero's...

Tolerance will be our undoing.

I'll have to google this....

Definitely be watching that. One of my most cherished memories is getting pissed with Joey in a bar in Vila Real, Portugal the night before the TTF1 race.
Next day I had a stinking hangover and Joey went out and won the race...

..... and it certainly was.
A very fitting telling of the story of a down-to-earth legend.
As Ron Haslam said, Joey hasn't gone and he never will - we're all still talking about him.

Yes, it certainly showed why he still lives on in hearts and minds. I never realised that it was the suicide of his long time sponsor that made him go and compete in that fateful race in Estonia.
Joey just couldn't stop road racing - it was his life. Imagine the dedication required to win 3 TTs in a week when you're 48...! I doubt we'll ever see his like again.
