Possible Falco for sale

#1 Post by ROCKOZ » Sun May 19, 2013 7:15 pm

I've posted a lot recently in the falco section regarding issues with my falco.

It's now a non runner and I don't know why.

Offers....

it is repairable honest have you called griff let him or any experienced member listen to the noises over the phone or post the sound file and see if we can help first .... once you find the gremlin it will be a different thing honest... feel your pain as I havent been able to ride since november but that was a different reason :smt019
For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

There's enough people about who'll be able to guide you. Phone Griff.. He tends to play with madness all the time.. phonecalls with 'have a listen.. can yer guess worritis yet??' dont seem to phaze him

I've just had enough. Near 6 months of hell fiddling and fiddling some more...at first it lost power but was ridable....it seems the more we've fiddled the more we ruined it...now the sprag has gone (likely) I just can't be bothered. It won't even start.

What's it worth in bits? What's it worth as it stands?

I know you are really down now, but there are some really great people on this site, who may just be able to help, so take them up on their offer.
It has to be worth one last chance before breaking it for bits.
The Griff option would be really worthwhile as well, keep your chin up just a bit longer!

In a few weeks I'll be getting a new van so could stick it in the back of that but dependant on timings it's certainly an option. When will you be taking yours?

It's just is it worth two days of travelling - there and back. I'm in the situation where I no longer love the bike. Infact I'd go as far to say I hate it. I have no feeling whatsoever towards it and I just want my money back...

Hope it works out - I reckon there's every chance.

ROCKOZ, yep, you have travelled the road to falco hell, all you have to to is get round the corner, maybe something overlooked or mis understood ?
You know if you sell it you will never be able to buy it back.
I spent a long long very long time disabled by a fekked fuel pump, worked every time I removed and tested it, no chance of working plugged back into the loom, a £30 fix but I never wold have found it by trying to work it out on my own.
Give Griff a ring, Aprilia Performance, 01827 285500, he will point you in the right direction, his advice is free and spot on!
