Having ridden through the tail end of the uks ice age (aka spring 2013) I'm throwing caution to the wind and proclaiming the electrical gremlin DEAD! Only cost me a grand for someone else to get to the bottom of it but even through freezing days after a short ride to work it has been faultless. Props due then to Southern Cross in kilburn, north London. I got what I paid for ... in the end.

I only ask as Alad and DR may need help if you are free

For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

... Dunno if this will help, but part 1 was charging: frayed/'home-spun' wiring causing shorts here and there, notably around the stator. Stator replaced. Wiring fettled. Part 2 - the return of the 'buzz-click' starting failure ended up being a blown cooling fan. More dodgy wiring found and fixed. Fan replaced.flatlander wrote:so what was itI only ask as Alad and DR may need help if you are free
