So what is a mod ?

im changing my swing arm (swinger arm) (rear forks ) to a nice rsv one , witch i thing shoild of been fitted on the falco as standard but keeping standard gear ratio, is this a mod ? do i have to tell the insurance folks ?

Yes. A modification is any change from standard and, technically, includes such things as non-factory fit chains and sprockets. A different swing arm will definitely get attention when mentioned.
I'm right 98% of the time so why worry about the other 3%?
