Fitting a Pyramid rear hugger

#1 Post by fatboy » Sat Mar 23, 2013 7:35 pm

Weather permitting I will be fiiting my hugger tomorrow.
Just wondering if this is as simple as I think or are there any odd little fasteners anywhere that I will need to shave 0.1mm off using a piece of kryptonite ?

and you must do the shaving with the left hand

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

If memory serves you have to remove some of the plastic pieces prior to fitting the Hugger.
This excludes the chain guard of course :smt003

Yeah - it's a bit rich when swamp dwellers get above their station. Especially when they're taking a pop at God's own county... :smt002

Got the hugger out of the box, comes with fasteners, instructions and the crappiest bit of laying up and finishing Ive ever seen on GRP.
Looks like it cracked when being freed from the mould and naff repair attempted on the RHS where the hugger sits on the swingarm, looks like it will split apart in no time :smt009
Its going back

Yep, its a Pyramid.
One bit of the instructions makes no sense...
pass cable tie through inner hole in right side of hugger nose and pass it back out through the hole in the point ????
It only has 3 holes,2 on chainguard, other where rear brake hose is fixed to swing arm (abrv. )
If its anything like your sprocket, Joe, it will be full re fund time
