How the hell do you lot get motivation to work on the bike. I've a few parts sittong there and really need to crack on with it all but I really really can't be bothered!!! I'm blaming the weather.

Lol. Having the Mother-In-Law visit usually sets me away tinkering.
I'm always eager to get new parts or bling fitted as soon as I get em, and my Missus and Son are very understanding! TBH, the parts are usually important things like calipers that I REALLY need to fit! lol

Re: Motivation
The fact that an MOT is coming and my rear master cylinder has gone is sort of motivating me.Cathcart wrote:How the hell do you lot get motivation to work on the bike.
Where ever I lay my hat.....
I got some motivation... Changed the car wheel and rear tyre on the bike. Although couldn't get the tyre to pop onto the sidewalls as wouldn't hold the pressure. Not sure what my next move is... Thinking pub.

Tbh I quite enjoy tinkering and my 3 year old loves helping out so I get time to spend time with him

my little un is nearly 2 and his bedroom is just the other side of the garage wall so I can't hammer to loudly, and if wd40 don't fix it.....it gets hammered lol so I can't work too much in there lol

Thankfully my garage is at the bottom of the other garden, so can make as much noise as I like. However, that's all well and good when I've got parts to hand.Shetland Woody wrote:Aargh my thoughts exactly lol,Willopotomas wrote:I find it more frustrating having loads to crack on with, but not having the parts to hand.

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the saddle.
Warm weather is my motivation. I spend enough time working on other people's bikes in my freezing cold, draughty garage, but at least I get paid for it. I'm buggered if I'm going to do it for free on my own bike!
