ok cant be bothered to google and probably wouldnt understand the answer anyway...

so glow plugs do they do anything apart from starting in a diesel engine especially say economy
just curious generally

For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

In modern cars I don't think they do anything until temperature is below a certain degree. Sure its -2 or something.

Sorry - forgot - they also seal a hole in the cylinder head - without them you'd have no compression.

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...
