Odd sound problem

#1 Post by BikerGran » Tue Feb 19, 2013 11:59 am

No it's not making odd sounds - it's the lack of sound in certain areas that's the problem.

Sometimes, there's no sound when I'm playing spider solitaire. Yes I know it's sad but I find it very useful for boring me into turning the machine off and going to bed - but it's not the same without sound.

And there's a bubble game I play, it's a Powerpoint thing - the odd thing with that is that there's sound at the edges but not in the middle!!!!

My speakers are working, I have sound on U-Tube, I have that really annoying sound when someone posts on facebook.

I know I really need a new computer but it's not an option at present (just took 2 cats to the vet!!!!!!!!£££££) - am I going to have to take another trip to the local computer fix-it man?

i would do a reinstall of direct x....

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...
