I have acquired an aprilia tank bag that converts into s rucksack and has 4 adjustable straps with hooks to fix the bag I think! How do you secure this to the tank?
Have been told a fitting that attaches to the yolk nut is required

The Aprilia tank bag needs a special bolt that fits into the head stem. I don't know where you could get one from, I'm afraid.

It's the V-twin thing. There's just something about it that inline-4s don't have at all, and V-4s don't have enough of.

How does this one bolt secure the bag and what stops it sliding about?
Does anyone know where to get one?

Bolt secures the front - loof at the top of the bag and you cans see the loop that hooks over the bolt
Two of your straps have hooks - those go at the rear of the bag and hook onto the frame by your lower thigh or knee - they adjust tight.
To refuel, slacken one and the push the bag so it pivots on the front loop
If you cannot find an aprilia part, then use a rawlbolt ;)
Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

if you don't want a rawlbolt sticking up just find a material strap about 18" long and use Velcro to attach around the headstock.
If there's no straps that came with the bag, then just do the same for for the 4 loops(obviously for around the frame and not the headstock.lol).
I searched for ages(without success) to get a proper stem nut insert.
(and im sure this post will get butchered along the lines of..........."strap-ON about 18" long")

you could buy one of those sat nav holders that goes down into the headstock hole, my mate has one on his RSV and it would suit the falco tank bag fitting perfectly.
Pass me a hammer, a spanner and a cuppa

For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock
