Zorst springs and other matters...

#1 Post by falcomunky » Mon Feb 11, 2013 10:32 am

Hi all.
Just a quickie: What length exhaust springs does the Falco need? Mine are pretty shagged so I'm trawling Ebay fer a set but I'm not sure on their unsprung length... :smt017

Also, does anyone have a spare airbox lid I could have? I'm itching to do the mod but as I use the bike all year round fer work as well as, ahem, pleasure, I need a back-up lid just in case I bollox it up!
I really don't wanna pay £40 or so that some sellers on Ebay are asking...

Cheers in advance! :smt006

Whatcha tryin to do with the lid?

I've butchered one in the past to seal to the front of the tank when I ran a DT1 pancake type filter on the lower airbox half.

I'm not using that setup now and you're welcome to the cut off bit of that's what you're looking for.

Let me know

Sounds like that might be part of what I'm after Falcopops! :smt005
I'm attempting to do one of the airbox mods.
I need the front curve of the lid (including the two bolt holes to clamp it down) in order to make a 'ramp' for the car door seal to run along.
Hopefully that will seal the airbox to the underside of the tank.
All done without carving my existing lid, just in case I need to go back to standard...
Ideally I also need the rest of the lid to carve-up in order to clamp the door seal down around the remainder of the base and also to hold the K&N in place while allowing max air flow.
At least, that's what I've read on a few forums... :smt003
That and the noise :smt002
