Ohlins shock spring retainer dimensions required

#1 Post by mangocrazy » Thu Jan 31, 2013 6:28 pm

Or more accurately, I need to know the external diameter of the alloy spring retainer/collet on an Ohlins shock. This is to be found at the base of the shock, right next to the rebound adjuster. I need to know the precise measurement; i.e. 72.6mm, not 'about 70mm'. So you'll need to have a set of vernier calipers to measure them properly.

I've tried to measure the Ohlins on the VFR, but it's completely inaccessible, and the Falco is in Stafford and I'm in Sheffield. I can't remember how easy/difficult it is to measure 'in situ', but it would obviously be easiest if the shock was off the bike, naked and exposed...
