If it is cracked and not bent/twisted in the accident, I think it worth to have it welded professionally, they are rare as hens teeth... Or do the Falcuono! :smt003

Yeah ..I used to work in heavy engineering/fabrication so looked up my old mates (who just happen to be tig welding guru's :smt002 )
and it's having a re-furb as we speak ..plus a bit of extra strengthening just in case :smt018

I never had a prang ...it had just cracked so far along the weld, then over time (and with the help of our lovely smooth roads) gradually split the whole length.

At least it will give me chance to clean out the rads / oil coler while I'm waiting for it.....have you had a look at yours recently...mine is packed full of crap/dead pheasants and what looks like bits of custard pie!!!

The is known as the instrument panel or clock panel and you can buy one here but £240 plus VAT and delivery, might get change out of 300 notes but it aint cheap!!

There is an ad on ebay at the moment, (I think its one for a red top fairing that is being sold with the clock panel included), and was quite cheap last time I looked, but can't check it out now, as can't get ebay at work.
It was in Motorcycle parts and accessories/Aprilia/Falco.
Possibly the fairing panel may have had some damage, check it out, could get a bargain!

You got it FM, this is what I was on about earlier, (but couldn't check at work). I knew the panel came with some other bit, but got two Ebay sales crossed over. Worth a punt on this, compared with the new price.

Just thought I'd post to say I've just had the exact same problem. Riding to work yesterday and noticed the mirrors bouncing more than usual. Pulled into work and had a check and the subframe has split on both sides where it attaches to the frame :/

Getting it sent to my brother who is a welder.
