abba stand help please

#1 Post by paddyz1 » Wed Dec 12, 2012 7:13 pm

I am getting an abba stand for Christmas. What i want to know is when you specify what bike you have do they send you the standard kit and also the kit that you asked for?
Reason i ask is because it will be getting used on the ducati and the falco and i only want to buy one kit if i can lol

Thanks

No - you get one set that you choose....

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Or buy the foot rest adapters.....

Work on any bike then

I have an Ultipro from NWS (not now availabale).
The fittings for the Falco are tapered pins.
The fittings for the ZX9R would be different if I could still get them, but the Falco tapered ones work OK.
You may find the Falco pins for the Abba will work safely with more than one bike as well.
Obviously you'll get a good idea just by looking at the swingarm pivot points, then carefully try it.
Just take care it is not too near the fairing as you raise it onto the stand.
The Falco pins with the Ultipro leave lots of clearance, so there is a good chance, if the Abba works in a similar way.

Hope this makes sense,
Good luck.

Thanks everyone. I guess i will be buying two sets eventually.
Pete. I already have my own version of the footrest adapters. I had to make some when i changed my swingarm. I will probably have to make an adjustment when the stand arrives.

On mine it has a set of removable plugs without they fit all the Honda's I had (Blackbird, CB 5 and Pan) and the inserts were like pins which fitted the Falco and the TDM I had.
If you want pics I can post some.
I hate it when people ask if you have a bathroom, I want to say "No we pee in the garden"
