MOT Q, poss switchgear wanted

#1 Post by control_67 » Wed Nov 28, 2012 6:09 pm

Quick question, my left switchgear no longer latches on the high beam switch. Is this an MOT fail? The lights switch on and off ok and the switch activates the full beam, it just doesn't latch.

If this is going to be a fail then does any of the forum hoarders have a spare switchgear for sale?

Cheers all!

Shouldn't be a problem as the warning light is activated, which meets test standard, the switch is operational.
MOT testers can be fickle,a lot down to their own interpretation, if it fails, I'd appeal
May be wrong but dont think full beam is a legal requirement, only the warning light

I've got a left hand switch set but it's the late type with no on/off switch for the lights. Space where the switch would be is blanked off. High/low works fine though. Can't imagine you'd want to run that set up but if you want to borrow it for a MOT you'd be welcome.
