Winter Gear

Ok I'm looking for some material outerwear for the winter, my Belstaf stuff has reached the end of the road as its getting baggy and out of shape (had it ten years now) and its also leaking here and there through the stitching.
I don't want cheap gear it never lasts and I hate spending all day trying different things on as its a hot job in a shop.

Belstaff is out, I tried the same as I had and it didn't fit and the slightly smaller one had midget arms attached, so do any of you have any pointers for me.

I have a set of buffalo textiles that have lasted very well - water proof and wear well

I can vouch for Buffalo stuff. Had one of their older 'Blitz' jackets for years. The zip gave up after about 6-7 years of using it every day in all weathers. Phoned them up to ask about replacement, they said send it up and they'll take look. Sent it up as requested and it came back a couple of days later with a new zip on FOC. Was impressed.

I've got a weise jacket that was about 40 quid new old stock. Been waterproof and warm for the last two or three years. Velcro is starting to peel on the front flap but it has had a lot of use. I'd buy another. I had a clover one before that and it wore well but was never 100% waterproof.

I wear second hand textile/leather goretex Hein Gericke gear (psx-tr)
They are incredibly warm, and never let water in
Cant rate them enough. So much better than faffing around with seperate waterproofs.
They get a bit warm through summer though (they are meant to be 'all year' gear)
