I really dont want to be doing this

#1 Post by fatboy » Wed Nov 14, 2012 6:53 pm

This is the conclusion of Bloody Ebay ect.
Its all bloody lies,my mate sold the bike and pocketed the cash and came up with a ton of believable lies.
Why did I believe em? Cos he was a mate, his mum, the solicitor fought DVLA on my behalf for ages for nothing, cos he found the wiring probs on my Falco when he was in a wheelchair after having brain tumour removed, cos he was happy for me to look after his boy when the tumour got a bit too much..... yet he steals my effing bike.
He started to get weird about not paying back money I lent him so he could move to a better bit of town, knowing I was paying bank charges, pleading poverty when I knew he had just sold a big diesel generator, always stalling when I asked for court details....
So I did a quick search of Bristol and Swindon courts, few emails,NO HEARINGS ON DATES MENTIONED. NO MATCHES AT ALL WITH NAMES MENTIONED

Don't know what to say.

It's almost unbelievable that anyone would do that to a good mate.

In my book, he's just gone from 'mate' to 'c**t' in one fell swoop. I'd be round there with a van and piling it high with anything I deem to be worth the amount owed. It might sound harsh, but I've personally got no time for liars or deviants. It's happened to me before, and hopefully won't happen again.

Think of the impact it's had on you stress wise. Call for re-enforcements if you think it necessary. No need for violence, that's never the answer, which is why a couple of extra hands usually stops things escalating.

No good calling plod. They'll put it down as a civil matter and won't touch it. Sloping shoulders made of teflon these days. :smt002

Well, he came round last night, now Im feeling like shit about this. He's got a lot of unpleasant issues going on at the mo.
He said I couldnt find the court details online as his mum used her married name, hope thats the case as I would much rather be wrong on this one.
That said he's been a total shit over money, been evasive when I asked for some documentation fron the court, evasive generally, saying the paypal funds will be released in 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 6 weeks.
This is not a nice head state

Sounds like he's using his problems to make you feel sorry for him - and using you to deal with his money problems - either he has paperwork or he doesn't, and if he does why not let you see it?

For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

It s a totally shit situation, the personal woes he's going through are hideous, at the same time he has betrayed my trust by taking the piss over money, Ive made it more than clear that Im paying bank charges, like many, Im juggling my cash waiting for payday.
Ive given this a lot of thought, yes I may have come to the wrong conclusion over the Ebay thing, hard to be trusting after being lied to.
Not my lucky month, my dog was attacked today, when he was on a lead, sat down, totally under control, he may need part or all of his right ear removing, just after recovering from an op on the same ear.
The owner of the other dog was thankfully insured and honest (at least his phone number works)
Fuck it, Im having a few beers

Stress...

#10 Post by GregD-UK » Fri Nov 16, 2012 10:56 pm

Hi all,

I feel for your situation. In april I had a stroke due too stress at work and pay etc... This kinda situation can esculate on your part to stress and pressure at home. From the information you have told us on here, I would take the view that this person is stringing you along with vigour :smt018

In this day and age kindness can be perceived to be a sign of weakness. As by the most part, these type of people feel they can deceive and blame their greed, theft or bad behaviour on their physical or mental condition. It is called being a really bad person (polite wording!) The sooner you actually call his bluff and treat him for what he is doing and not his physical conditions... Sounds like you are having a tough financial time, as am I. In the end, one can only look after one's own interest really. Hope you see light at the end of the tunnel real soon :smt001

Stiff him, his problems are his, yours are yours. We all have problems but never screw mates over.
Tell him to prove it all with documentation or even just viewing it online, i.e. his PayPal messages... If he can't then you need to be acquiring some of his property and flog it on. Of course you need to be doing this in such a way that he knows but can't prove it.
So what if he's in a chair, loads of folk are, loads of folk I know are, still a person like the rest of us...

I think you must file for that after consulting with your solicitor because its not good thing that he had done and feel shame on that type of person.Hope it will be fine soon and you get the solution for this situation.
