thanks for all your messages but i was guilty before i sat down it was clear straight away that they were'nt going to admit that these cameras are'nt accurate,i thought i put up a very good arguement and even on the video footage it was clear i was'nt speeding but 4 hrs later £200 and three points. :smt013 :smt013

I'd appeal. But 1st off I'd get an independent assessor to have a look at them.

Some judges/magistrates are owned by the cops, fecking crooks :smt013

Try bashing little old ladies and robbin em or a spot of housebreaking and you'll get a lesser penalty. Especially if you plead deprivation and an abusive father when you were growing up etc etc etc.

It's a case of can pay, will pay I'm afarid.

Get the appeal in tho.

cnuts!!!

I agree.
Sad state of affairs when everyone is so cynical though.

The even sadder thing is that our cynicism drive cynicism with the plod and it becomes a vicious circle....

Main problem is that a number of people like MCN have proved they are inaccurate, (Blade on a sidestand doing 45mph, old blokes pulling caravans at 250mph etc..).
They have never been tested on bikes, so should not have been approved for use, yet the buggers can just ignore all this and say stuff you! YOU'RE NICKED - PAY UP. The goverments poxy fudged reply that they had not been tested on bikes but there was no reason to question them was garbage. If there is no reason to question results why don't they test 'em and prove it.
Where are all the legal pressure groups pushing for people's rights etc., we all just seem to take it. About time public tests were undertaken on all vehicles with deliberate tests undertaken to show the outcome of very slight slippage, particularly on bikes where there is normally nothing flat at the front to focus on so false results are likely, rather than just possible.
This will never happen as they already know the results will not look good and then they may have to pay back millions in fines, and that won't happen I'm afraid, not with this government.
