Why does everybody think it's Hallowe'en? Hallowe'en is 30 October - the evening (or e'en) before All Saints day aka All Hallows.

*pedantic mode off* - I lied there btw.

Don't, BG. You'll get me started on my Americanisation of Hallowe'en rant! Trick or treat? Pumpkin? Pah!

I like that. I like that a lot. :smt003
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the saddle.

It got boring and people stopped bothering. So we had to come up with other ways of annoying people.. :smt003

We sort of did it a bit early, too - Alice Cooper's Halloween Night of Fear, last Thursday. Highly entertaining & typically OTT, like a gothic horror pantomime. Supported by Ugly Kid.

Absolutely! Trick or treat is nothing but teaching kids to threaten people to get what they want!

My mum never let my brother or myself go 'trick or treating' as she didn't believe in ghosts, witches or other unworldly things. Which really baffled us as we got older because she was confirmed in to the Church of England. :smt005

Now we're a lot older, we appreciate it for what it really is. An excuse to get dressed up for a night of drunken debauchery and to ogle the totty who decide to wear very little in cold temperatures. :smt003 :smt003

When I was in Kent and got a knock on the door with the 'trick or treat' question, I would respond by getting the 2 Alsations out ind ask
Big dog or Bigger dog ?
Peaceful night !

Had a trick or treater tonight. Won't have to buy cat food for a while and I got a free bag of sweets.
