Do you recall this story from a week or so ago?
The 61 year old blind man who was hit by a Tazer?

Well on Saturday I went up to Chorley where I met with the chap, Colin Farmer, and we as a firm and in particular my colleague Sophie Khan are now handling the case against the Police.
Real nice guy, and when you speak to him first hand, the story is even more horrendous.

It simply proves that they Tazered first and looked after - trigger happy or what? I saw this sort of thing coming before I left work - the trouble is that the people they recruit to the police nowadays are not like the 'old school' (ie TC!) - it's just a job to them, and a job that lets them wear a uniform that gives them the right (as they see it) to do what they like.
I saw a couple of young PCs parking in the Natwest car park when I went to the bank one day. One said to the other "Should we be parking here - it's for the bank?" The other replied "We're the Police, we can do as we like"
That's the attitude that causes these incidents.
I hope your lot throw the book at the officer and the force TC - and I hope it makes the Home Office think twice about this double-barrel Tazers they're thinking of getting.

The tragedy of old age is not that one is old, but that one is young.
Where they real police or just police support officers aka plastic plod.
Nothing nowadays amazes me about what the official arms of government get up, after all with the cretins that inhabit Westminster, it'd not be pc to have others more intelligent as (un)civil servants.
As for the poor bloke that was attacked I have lots of sympathy, but I'm getting fed up with the compensation culture that its all becoming.

I hate it when people ask if you have a bathroom, I want to say "No we pee in the garden"

Bobbi one of the best summations I've heard of the modern uniformed imbecile... why do the local police now dress in a militaristic style like updated blackshirts

For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

The effects might have been catastophic - he had a major stroke in March!
- don't forget that one of the officers did query whether they ought to park there......Bobbi one of the best summations I've heard of the modern uniformed imbecile

Out of curiosity, roughly what percentage of any final settlement will your companies fees be?TC wrote:The 61 year old blind man who was hit by a Tazer?

I know this is not a good example, I agree that the idiot that used the tazer was the one who needed the white stick, however
Damned if you do
Dead if you don't?
This did come not long after the two WPC'c were shot dead.
I recall once we had a copper taking a statement (my son had been assaulted in the street) when it came over on the radio "man wielding an AXE", I remember thinking at the time, glad I don't have to deal with that!
Just my twopence worth.

I can't answer that question, not because I don't want to, but simply because I don't know how the case is being funded. It could be on a contingency (which means that a percentage is taken) it could be on LEI or a CFA, but I honestly don't know as that (funding) is not a side I get involved in.lazarus wrote:
