New Bike in the stable

So - i was thinking about changing the bike. I did some two up touring with Jules this year and whilst we coped ok the Falco is not brilliant for two up touring (IMO). So made some enquiries and was being offered stupid money for the Falco. I was planning on adding about £5k to the pot. So after much contemplating I decided to keep the Falco (never really wanted to part with it anyway ) and purchased a 09 plate Tiger 1050 (heated grips and guards, touring screen, OEM side cases, centre stand) only 6000 mls and a very bargain price. Sourced on ebay but turns out the seller worked for JLR in the office above my son. So had a few conversations with him and sniped it with 20 secs to go. Very pleased.

Already planing a tour of Normandy Brittany and Loire in July...... am I the only one who reads maps in bed

It sounds good Dave, (but glad you kept the Falco !!!).
The Tiger 1050 is an interesting bike, please come back and tell us more about it, when youve had a chance to try it properly.
