Nah - useless piece of junk - just won't work in east anglia.
Pass the details on to me as these things may well be more effective in the midlands.

I suppose it depends if you're using the stock ECU.

Then there's all the fiddling with settings to find whats best for you.

I wouldn't bother myself.

Worth it, but only if you have it setup on a dyno, I had one on my CBR600, and it did make a difference, not huge, but a difference none-the-less

+1

Although it makes a difference even on standard maps (downloadable) if you play a bit (I completely eliminated 4krpm dip - or was it 5? :smt005 and it is smoother and more fuel efficient). And I managed all that without a clue on what I was doing, just arse dyno. :smt002

I will have custom map burned once I get this airbox mod done :smt013

Please tell us more.....do you mean chip/eprom? I'm about to go through the dyno thing with a PCIII and i've got the standard eprom fitted, surely it shouldn't make any difference?

Won't make any difference what ECU you have got, the PCIII works as good regardless of standard ECU or not, infact, I would go as far as to say, if you are getting a PCIII, there is no point changing the ECU, waste of time.

But then there are those FP chips with trimming ports thingies... Just to add some fuel into the fire. :smt003

Yes, if you use the bike enough and do enough miles.

Mmmm, I've done about 60 to 70k since 2001 and to be honest I thinks its just a "must have gadget" for 90% of riders out there.

I'd rather spend it on a proper setup than some trick piece of crap.

BTW I'm not on a wind up, I've heard others a lot better qualified than me say it.

Works fine for me .....when I first got the bike it was snatchy/jerky below 3k ...huge flat spot at 5k

Had a PC fitted and set up for just over £300 (had two bikes done so got a discount) and it transformed the bike....pulls clean from 2k all the way through with no flat spot ...just a more enjoyable bike to ride, so it was worth it for that reason alone....(mine has standard ECU /chip) no need to "fiddle with any settings" Gio ....and it IS a proper set-up.

IMHO Better than a chip ....one aftermarket chip can't be suitable for every Falco! ...they all run different and need setting individually

You can change or try maps as and when required with your laptop ... but once it has been set up properly on a dyno there's really no need to, unless you change cans / filter or whatever ...then it's just a case of booking an hour back on the dyno to tweak it up again....but thats the good thing about PC's ...you can change your cans/exhaust/filter/airbox as many times as you like and get the bike set up to suit.

Isn't PCIII the only trick piece of crap missing on your bike? :smt005

BTW I've never heard of a single person regreting putting money in properly setup PCIII.

No idea there, but I'd not want to change the performance at all, its more than enough for the terrible state of our roads :smt001
