Exhaust Mid Section Work

#1 Post by mickt1964 » Tue Sep 11, 2012 7:52 am

Hi
Can someone confirm who the person is that offered mid section exhaust work for the Falco

After fitting the RSV swingarm thinking of going with the single exhaust.

Don't want to start changing oil tank etc etc, would like to just do a straight swop out with the falco mid section.

Mick

Maybe he's away or busy at work or something.

I'll send him a text to let him know you've been trying to get hold of him

I have made a renegade mid section myself.
I don't have access to a mig welder with stainless wire so i tig welded it.
Would i make another.........
No.A bit to time consuming if i am honest.

Looking good there, Jay - nothing wrong with that welding at all... Top work.

Nice work - though I do notice the positioning of the front link pipe is somewhat further back on both pipe runs than all of the other versions I've seen. Think this might have some impact but really don't know how much.

Tbh i did think about it after i had drilled the holes.
I am not really that bothered about this has i only did it because the mid section was off.
I just wanted a nice single sided exsaust system on the falco. Maybe some shot guns :smt003

Yeah - the number of thoughts that come to mind just after the chance to do anything about them has just passed - but as you say with this one the optimisation of benefit wasn't the prime concern (and maybe you struck lucky anyway!)

Wonder where you might find a nice set of those :smt002

Thinking about the mid section mod, i think unless you rode two falco's back to back. One standard bike and the mid section one, i would think you would struggle to tell the difference.
And also may i point out.....The falco will always be a better bike than i will be a rider even in standard form. The standard bike go's like a scoulded cat!!!

hmmm

well, i do get too ride the modded and the standard back to back

the mid pipe mod is very noticeable

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Well apart from making you smile the mid pipe section is wasted on a lot of people with their riding ability.
I fall into that criteria :smt102
