#1 Post by cornish mafia » Thu Sep 06, 2012 11:31 pm

Seen these babies on eBay and wondered if they would work on our bikes : -eBay : - 170893014131

Look nice but it says something about relocating the rear brake cylinder , i can see trouble ahead. . . :smt009

.... well, they are for a Mille so obviously on that bike you would have to relocate the rear cylinder.

...... have you not remembered that the gear change and rear brake set up on the Mille is not the same as on the Falco?

I was just looking at these and reckon they will fit. The fact that there is a plunger rod on the rear brake pedal makes it well suited to the Falco rather than other rear sets for the RSV as they dont relocate the forward mounted brake master.

If I had the cash I'd buying them.

My only concern is that they mention that this mounts the pegs higher than stock

I reckon you could swap the riser plates over and mount them upside down to give them a lower if not equal position to the stock pegs.

Am still waiting on my mate to get back to me but know he was up the garage yesterday checking if his rsvr sets fit my Falco so should find out today ......as i'm away working and if they fit and i buy them they should turn up at home before i get back and hopefully the misses would of calmed down by the time i get back as well so no bollocking !! :smt005

I think they would look good on the bike so fingers crossed it's good news from him

I know they're from China but hopefully it's not too big a risk either .................when they take over the world at least i can get my money back !! :smt009

Couple of points - I've done a few track days on mine with race tyres and never had any ground clearance problems (without hero blobs). Second, I've bought rear sets before and unless they are very good quality the functioning of the gear and brake levers tends to be poor compared to standard. This can get very annoying and spoils the experience.
