Falco down... down under :(

#1 Post by rick » Sun Sep 02, 2012 12:25 pm

Had a ride out today only to loose it on some sand/gravel around a left corner :(

I'm in agony but it could have been worse... I can confirm that removal of gravel from one's elbow hurts... particularly when the Doctor needs to cut up into normal tissue to extract "debris".

Falco didn't look too bad actually, but convinced it'll be written off :(

Sorry to hear this Rick.
Hope you heal quick and the Falco can be patched up without too much hassle.

Ugh

Gravel rash :(

Hate to say this but well fitting leathers are far better than anything else

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

I've had gravel dug out and I agree it hurts. All the best for a speedy recovery

For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.

Was wearing full gear but its not tight fitting in places, lost some weight recently, so the protection moved after impact and it burnt though the textiles :(

I'll be ok, just bruises and open wounds.

Bike being transported back here as we speak... then I'll be removing the renegade airbox and fitting the original (can't find the original filter though!) including the chip, before the insurance assessors come.

Regarding chips... I've found the original (I think) with the label "PA07" on it... may need some assistance as to which way this needs to be installed.

I hope they can repair it, but I'm taking this stuff out in case they write it off. I'll also be removing the scottoiler.

Poor Falco :(

chip has a lug on one side of it - have a close look at the current and original and you will see what I mean
