Finally been to court re. the copper that hit my car and got the 50/50 we'd offered them in the first place. Only downside was my solicitors didn't do the offer on a PAR36 form so the insurance co. has had to pay out more damages than they should have.
Fun in the middle of the proceedings when the coppers wife shouted something and the copper [who was under oath at this point] shouted back for her to shut up!!
A bit disappointed with the judges summing up but all in all happy that it wasn't me who took the full blame

Far better than rolling over..... though I must admit I was crapping it for the week up to the case......... never having been in court before! On the day people kept asking me if I was OK....... seems I looked like I was going to burst into tears.
Just disappointed that the copper got away with lying........ when he said he was now a taxi driver I nearly pi$$ed myself laughing..... surely that was evidence enough that he is a crap driver!
Also disappointed that my solicitors didn't do their job properly. Part of the case rested on the damage to the vehicles.......which the judge deemed to be slight...... my damage reports weren't presented because the other side hadn't been given copies.. these would have supported my side of the story, that the copper was driving too fast. My steering was knocked off the rack but wasn't allowed as evidence.
Just glad it's all over.

I'd give my solicitor a bollocking for mishandling it like that.
All you need now is the firm ex plod works for and a hand grenade.
Glad it didn't turn out worse.
