MotoBitz Very Adjustable Rear-sets - revised price **SOLD**

#1 Post by Viking » Thu Aug 16, 2012 1:25 am

Morning all,

The rearsets have been sold. Thanks for all the interest.

Hi all,

I realised I was being very optimistic with the asking price.

I've had these things sitting in the garage for a couple of years now and finally got around to trying to install them. Only to discover that they don't go far enough backwards and down to suit me. (In fact, in that position they are no different to the stock footpegs.)

So, one complete set of MotoBitz VARsets with a spare footpeg, actuating arm (the bit that moves) and some bolts. Also comes with a HEL braided line to replace the too-short Falco rear brake line and a "banjo bolt with a pressure switch in it" so that your brake lights will still work.

I'm looking for AU$200 (about GBP 130) or suitable offer plus postage.

I'll try to get some photos tonight.

Cheers,
Viking

It's the V-twin thing. There's just something about it that inline-4s don't have at all, and V-4s don't have enough of.

Now for the photos that I promised...

Before I forget - the braided line was bought from Cobra Performance and comes in their box, but is actually a re-sold / re-badged HEL product. See photo below.

Just a thought Steve, have you tried mounting the base plates the other way up (upside down, longer arm at the top), that might give you the lower peg position you're after. Be a pity to sell if you don't need to.

I turned the back plates on my aprilia performance ones upside down to get them lower. Had to mount the master cylinder on the outside so it wouldn't hit the swingarm but not a major problem.
Where ever I lay my hat.....

You know, it never occurred to me to try the mounting plates upside down.

I really can't be arsed faffing around with them right now, and need the extra cash anyway.

Hi all,

I'm also willing to trade the rearsets for useful Falco parts such as a belly pan or an Evo / Renegade airbox kit. Anyone interested?

Cheers,
V

set of undercoated body panels?

rust brown undercoat??

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Hi Dale,

According to the Auspost online calculator thing, for a parcel up to 2kg (which is a pretty rough guess):

Surface mail: AU$40 (No signature on delivery, no tracking) - I estimate 6 weeks for delivery
Air mail: AU$75 (No signature on delivery, no tracking) - I estimate 1-2 weeks for delivery

Cheers,
V
