The police are doing a National bike PCN (penalty charge notice) campaign on small plates, loud pipes and any other minor infringement of the law they can give you a £60 fine for!
This takes place from the 20Aug to 26 Aug

what have the police and bees got in common
you never see either of them in bad weather
what is different between bees and the police
a bee will only sting you once and you probably deserved it
I was thinking of starting a face book page called spot the copper where you had like our location map and you could pin whenever you spotted a copper but then I realized that it was unlikely that you would be on Facebook in the police canteen or sick note collection centre, just as well I didn't think of doing one for spotting a policeman that wasn't grossly overweight and looked like they'd have a heart attack if they ran up stairs much less chased a villain
That said from what I gather from the news they don't go upstairs much anyway :( :(
rant over now and yes guess who spotted another two fat plods on a sunny day hiding with a camera
For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.

Should be OK - full sized plate and BS stamped can ..... no point in being an easy target .... though having specific target groups for these things rather than for all vehicles is an infuriating piece of blatant discrimination.

Would be interesting to know the provenance of this statement that the police are doing a national campaign - it'll be a first iof they are as the different police authorities are autonomous and each has their own priorities.

See I feel sorry for the police officers cos a lot of them don't like it any more than you do - but it's a job, and when you're in a job you do as the boss says or you don't have a job very long.

I hear where you are coming from Bobbi and to an extent agree but see the clue being in that wearing a uniform gives you an idea that someone is definitely going to boss you about and I am fairly sure that the 5 cars that have been speeding with no lights and sirens past me the last couple of weeks weren't told to do so nor were the ones that pulled up my missus and her mates on their run to the airport so they could have some fun or the one pretending to throw things off the bridge so that a load of us accelerated ... etc etc etc
I used to like the police even if I didn't agree with what they did but now nah ... that said not like I ever see them other than behoind something ... a camera a supermarket shelf a coffee bar a driving wheel occassionally a hedge
