griff has the updated / graded aprilia one

do a search here for scooter assasins - thats the cheaper option

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

I've just ordered an alternative as the inevitable has happened:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B006 ... 00_s00_i00

New Hitachi unit & Varta battery last year, took the battery off over winter, charged it fully and stored it in the house.

Charged it over night using my spare charger and saw a green light but didnt bother checking the voltage, stuck battery on, really struggled to turn engine over.

Only showing 10.5V and relay started sticking before packing up completely - I forgot how easily it is a screw up a relay with a poor battery!

Oddly, I charged battery with a clever charger and it was showing 12.7V and holding - fired across relay terminals with a big screwdriver and bike started up first time :smt013

Took the soddin relay to bits and there was only minor tracing on the copper plates, can't believe it was enough to stop starting.

So above relay order - hopefully, a good 150A alternative.

So Amadeus has to wait a little longer:
