Celebration of the Dark Side.

#1 Post by HowardQ » Mon Jul 30, 2012 11:56 pm

On Wednesday I will have had the Falco 8 years, so to celebrate here are some new pictures of the Dark Side, (with recently fitted Oz wheels).
Now I know why I kept the blue flashes all this time, they were just waiting for the wheels.
Like me the old bike is a lot older and a bit tattier than when we first met, but unlike me the Falco still scrubs up half decent.

You have just shamed me into going out and giving my fast black one a wash and polish. :smt012

Everyone seems to have these Oz wheels now. Is there a give-away or something?

More seriously, where sells them? What's their weight compared to the standard wheels? and does everything bolt straight back on to them no worries?

Oh nice Falco by the way

Hi all,

Great bike! Black of course :smt002 Yes DarkHand, they swop straight across and it is a weight thing, you are correct....

Good upgrade, amongst the good one's, like the side-stand, clutch cylinder and airbox etc etc.
My warranty is the clear/smoked tail lights around the corner!!

do a search here carl for the weight differences.... it is a major difference for the real oz's....

nice btw howard :)

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

The other essential mod on a black Falco is the smoked rear tail light, which was down to you Greg. :smt023
Thanks again!

I thought the most essential upgrade on the black ones was painting over the base coat ? ;)
For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

OUCH!

Nice bike Howard, I'm not spotting the tatty bits at all, just wish mine was as clean and shiny.

Nos sure about the blue bits though, I reckon they'd look better on my blue Falco. Happy to do a swap, I'll even pay for the postage :smt002

+1

Although, if it's looked after, the base coat should be fine. It's only if it's ill treated do you get that sludgy brown & black mess you see on some... :smt003

Very nice by the way Howard, twas a black one that I first saw many years ago, which first attracted me to the Falco.
