#1 Post by redfalco » Mon Apr 09, 2007 10:34 pm

I'm back and need help.

Has anybody had problem's with thier Falco, where it cuts out as if your out of fuel. But when you go to re-start it, it seem's to flood, coughs bangs. And when it does start, sometimes cuts out again.

Any help or advice would be greatfully recieved.

Hello Redfalco, I don't have that much experience with the aprilias motor and fuel injection, but think your fuels to rich, I would first pop the tank up and check out the filter and if its had the restrictor taken out then check the balance of the throttle bodies

can you tell us some more about the bike, what pipes you running do you know if it been derestricted, does it have a different eprom chip in it, is this a new problem, new bike to you?

hate to answer a question with more questions, but better to start with the easy stuff.
The problem with common sense is, its not very common

Thank's Gtrain. As from previous site, the state of tune is as follow's.
1 Evo air kit
2 Scopion race can's
3 Power comander.
All set up on a dyno.
Its got new plugs and leads.
All ran sweet up until recently.
A change of plug's used to cure the problem, but not no more.
Any thought's are welcome, Skeggy in 2 weeks, any one else going ?

does sound like its running to rich, especially if new plugs used to fix it.
when you changed the plugs were they fouled up, could be theres a problem with your leads, check to see if there all connected properly, if ones not that could be all it is

Sounds like you are flooding the engine, don't play with the throttle use the fast idle only.
