RSV Mille-R exhausts on a falco

#1 Post by wayno » Mon Jul 16, 2012 10:32 am

I have just been offered a set of sato race exhausts (twin carbon cans, titanium link pipes), does anyone know if these will fit a Falco? I would assume not due to the oil tank and swing arm being different but I wanted to double check before I turned them down and told him to fleecebay them.

Twin cans? is this an RSVR1000 (Gen2) ?
If so, the flanges have 4 bolt holes rather than 3.

If Gen1, then if it uses Mille headers, you will need to swap the oil tank and preferably oil cooler - but re routing pipes allows the falco cooler to be used.
Alternatively you can use the Falco oil tank and cooler with a modified mille exhaust mid-section.

I think it's first gen, this is the bike (now without the cans on).

I'll probalby just give it a miss then and let some RSV owner have them.

Yes it's a gen one - so the flanges will bolt up OK.

Oil tank and Oil Cooler will probably be hurdles (unless it is a complete system that has its own pipework that happens to be routed to miss the Falco parts)

It does have some fancy pipework (and light as a feather :smt001 ) but it was done for the RSV so chances are it won't be any good. Oh well, thanks for the advice.
