Coventry City - Away Support

#1 Post by Willopotomas » Fri Jun 29, 2012 11:26 pm

My dad, a friend of mine, his lad and myself are heading up to watch the Sky Blues battle a friendly game away against the mighty Inverness Caledonian Thistle on July 21st.

If that isn't dedication, then it's bound to be sure lunacy.

A mate of mine was on a rugby tour up in Scotland one time and in the pub saw a group of blokes wearing t shirts saying something like the Stranraer supporters club Crewe branch.
Anyway he got talking to them and basically it's a group that wanted a reason to regularly go away on the bikes stuck Scottish football teams names in a hat and hey presto.
For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

Hmm.. Makes sense that. Probably why my dad started supporting Inverness all those years ago. He's been an avid Caledonian fan for the best part of 35 years.. :smt023

We used to holiday up there and got to know the place quite well. My brother now lives in a village just outside of Inverness, so that's digs sorted for the night. :smt002

Had an excellent trip up to Inverness.. Unfortunately Cov lost 3-1, but it was quite surreal seeing them play at a ground I've been to many times before.

The drive there and back wasn't too bad.. It's been a few years since I last drove up there.. It's amazing how you forget just how far it is :smt005 :smt005
