40.41mpg. Not bad. But 15k miles will cost me about £1600 a year in fuel at current prices (98p litre), 19 ltrs and 200 miles on a CBF 47mpg and £1400 so, not much difference really. I wish Saturday would hurry up now so I can make my cocking mind up, will probably make it more of a dilemma though

Pete - Where's that Brand New Falco you said you knew about?

The answer to this could defeat the final protest!

If you hadn't just mentioned you can afford to buy new, I'd have said : Futura! Handles better , probably faster, looks better, more comfortable than a VFR and far classier than anything from Japan.

But I've said it anyway - just slipped out

the test rides may have a say in it. Remember I have ridden a Falco, round a cash and carry car park. Surely that counts as a comprehensive test ride

Sfoley1 Just to add to your confusion....

Given what you've said so far I think you should consider a Guzzi.

Thet are realy well put together these days , shaft drive and a good all round machine. If I hadn't got the Falco I'd be tempted and ultimately, I may get one for touring to complement the Falco.
Don't put off 'till tomorrow what you can enjoy today

try an aprilia dealer, or former dealer in either preston or derby

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

My uncle had a Moro guzzi a couple of years ago, loads of problems. Shaft drive is attractive though.
TwinNut- mpg calculator on interweb, I'm not an accountant, honest guv!

I'm also now going to book a test ride on a busa, gxr750 and a blackbird. The 750 is probably unsuitable but I've always fancied one
