small flat head and I don't mean Tim
is the L silent?

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Just read through all of this, some really good stuff in there flatlander.

From what I can see, basically any of the chips is better than the stock one, the Forza one is a bit soft in comparison, the Dr Rossi one is a bit sharper, and the Gabrro one is a bit nuts.

As most of my riding is commuting (with a nice Friday/weekend blast thrown in), is it worth getting a Forza/Rossi over the stocker? From what I've read the Gabro is not the right choice, although the grin factor would be there it's not ideal for cutting through traffic?

No problems experienced commuting with the Gabro chip here.

Not in my experience.

Yes it adds a bit of oomph but is is as smooth as butter and really helps the bottom end throttle control (perhaps the most necessary thing of all on a Falco).

I would highly recommend it. Civilised power.

Oh yes - I commute on mine and the Gabro is absolutely ideal.

Best way I can describe the gabro is its like taking a 1200 carb model bandit and mixing it into the falco both tremendous

I'd be very interested to hear your views on the Forza chip Paul, as I've been in contact with Mr Forza and he can do a dual map chip for mine to suit my exhaust system with or without modified airbox.

After all that, I've ordered the Gabro. Due some time in February. Will plug it in and see how it goes, then take it to Griff if there's a problem - he mentioned that the new chip can sometimes throw things out of kilter slightly, and a minor tune up gets everything working how it should. Shame it hadn't arrived before I took it down for a service.

Still loving my Gabro chip. Fuelling is beautiful.
Throttle control is in a different class to previously - much appreciated on these winter roads.

After jus reading Mango's post re my forza eprom ( dated Oct 2013) oops.
Standard Forza, nice, sweet, pleasant fuelling, brisk with tons of midrange but a drop off of top end.
A little easier to live with than the SL Carbon eprom, less of a thug !
I can see a Forza dual map working very well, the stock map is very easy to live with, not too snatchy or lumpy.
Im running SL carbon cans with a K&N, remember every bike has individual behaviour as does every rider

When I first compared the chips I think I left out journey time as it was sooo subjective but for me from memory the wider balance of the Forza made it effectively quicker as it was less on it ... Off it ... On it again so the ride was smoother

And no Alad and no Squid I don't mean in it ... Roundabout - so off it .... Gone through roundabout so back on it again ;)
