Not at all convinced that applies to a fluid. :smt003
I was expecting you to come back with a frictional force which would enhance the braking. :smt002

To be honest when I first proposed this idea, all sorts of similar theories were thrown about and reading all that stuff made my head hurt. I figured that if it worked, then fair enough; if not, I'd need to get my wheels balanced.

So far it's worked. That's all I can say, really.

Yeas - the "user experience" is what counts (just having trouble reconciling what must be going on inside the tyre with the user experience and thus understanding how it really works)

I was just thinking the same, the theory somehow doesn't seem to add up but I have bought the beads, there going to be used when I swap the tyres over and we'll see what happens

tyre sealent this looks good

I'm not so sure. That looks like a very effective sealant, effective enough to hide dangerous terminal damage to a tyre which Puncturesafe's sealant won't do. Also how easy is it to apply? I can do a bike in ten minutes from riding in to riding out again. I'd be interested in finding out more about it though in case it is a step up from what's already available.

This puncture stuff does claim to balance the wheels too:

Weighs a lot though!

Here's another vid of the same stuff where they shoot the tyre with a gun :smt119

This is exactly what I'd expect to happen:

[qoute]its good stuff, ive tried it and it works but it doesn,t self balance, its ok up to about 50 mph, after that it seems to all end up it one point and un balances the tyre .

And anything that will hold air after something as extreme as being shot is a very bad idea, a bullet will (quite obviously, unless you're an American it seems) cause severe damage to a tyre carcass, you REALLY do not want to be riding on a tyre with that kind of damage!

In my view if you are braking hard enough to make your balls rotate, you've got some serious issues!
:smt003

Back to the yellow dots, if you line them up correctly with the valve, it should be close to balanced and need minimal weights.
Every bike tyre I've had fitted for years have been fitted this way.
Actually same applies to car tyres, but I have never yet seen a yellow dot lined up correctly on a car. Maybe it's because car tyre fitters can't be arsed, or maybe car wheels are so poorly balanced it aint worth the effort.
Will try asking some time when I get a car tyre fitted and see if any less weights are needed.
