Just a brief post to say a few of us got there:
- Keith (obviously .... he didn't have too far to travel)
Pete & Hanna
Willopotomas
Me
Saturday's weather was more than "traditional" .... I've never previously had to stop because I couldn't see my instruments / navigation / end of my nose - let alone the road through the rain .... but before that, Will got a puncture a few miles out of Coventry.
Quick phone-call to my son had him driving to find us with a spare rear wheel, paddock stand and tools .... pissed down on us while we were changing the wheel but at least it got us on our way.
Arrived at Keith's rather damp but had a great evening eating drinking chatting around the fire in his garden (the weather improved by then)
Keith and Tammy did a great job of making us welcome and feeding us .... and I even got a room for the night so didn't have to put the tent up - many thanks.
Will headed back to Coventry that night as he was shooting his longbow in Wales today (Sunday).
This morning we got up to a beautiful sunny day and after brekkies set off on a rideout Keith had planned ..... discovering that Black Falcos with Renegade exhausts and 54mm TBs are dog slow .... at least when they don't work properly. I waited for Pete to find out what the trouble was and he limped back to Keiths. I headed after Keith and Hanna but not knowing where they'd gone, failed to find them and then headed back to Keith's myself.
Eventually all returned.
Many thanks again to Keith and Tammy - you made us very welcome and despite saturday's weather, it was a great weekend.
I set off back to Coventry leaving Hanna to ride back to Norfolk and Pete and his SLOW black Falco to return to the swamplands courtesy of an RAC trailer.
Shame a few more didn't make it - but you do have a chance to redeem yourselves .... get the date of the Norfolk Weekend in your diaries and MAKE SURE YOU ARE THERE !!!
