I see the Falco hasn't done too badly at all in Riderpower 2007

15th overall & 5th in the sports tourer section :smt004

Very good for a bike that's been out of production for over 2 years, which is why I'm after one :smt003

Yeah - just seen YellowDuck has posted this up on the AF1 forum .... dunno if he's winding me up but he claims my pic is there in RiDE.

If it's some hideously ugly chap then he's probably correct. Mind you, I did send in a group shot of 6 of us with our Falcos - so there could be multiple hideousness ......

I've just done the deal on a Falco
04 reg, 7800 miles on the clock, mint condition, bronze.
Full years MOT & tax
- just needs new tyres as the current 020's are squared off
Full service history, always been kept in a garage on an optimate

£3100 in a private sale.........how've I done ??? - or have I been done ??

It certainly looks better than a lot of those from dealers on the MCN website

You've done well - you've got a Falco!

To be quite honest (unless you happen to pick one up that has a problem - and they don't seem to be that common), they're all bargains - just some moreso than others. They're a lot of bike for the money. If you're objective is to recover your investment by selling again in the short to mid term, then that may be a different discussion. If it's a keeper and you are considering what you've got for your money, then :smt003 :smt003 :smt003 :smt003 :smt003 :smt003 :smt003

I think the price is probably reasonable.

Has it had any mods done to it ... if not we'll run up your credit card bills for you. :smt002

Well Andy - they cropped the pic to just you - which says just how bad they thought the rest of us looked :smt009
The ride is the reason ........ the destination is just the excuse.

Is it in the shops then Dave? - or are you another subscriber?

Not seen it yet .... but (unfortunately) I know what I look like and can probably remember some of what I said (wonder how much of it got changed?)

Yeh Andy but was it the words that got changed or the body like last time in MCN. :smt003
Seem to remember that between the three of you in MCN, there were some made up words and bodies!
Still any publicity is good. Not seen it in the shops yet.

Has everyone seen D-R's article or do I need to scan it?

I thought the planned trip to Cape Town was asking a bit much of the Falco :smt002
They call it mellow yellow.

RiDE never contacted me after I replied either. The comments just appeared.

... and MCN were so keen to use my contribution that they coped without me providing a picture for them. :smt002

Still waiting for the full-time bike-journo contract to be offered though!

:smt024

(yeah - right !)

{Don't worry - it's probably English bias :smt002 }
