A big thank you to all who came and made this such an enjoyable weekend. I'll leave others to post about the meet, 'cos I'm a bit biased.

My only regret is that some who'd hoped to come couldn't in the end; all the best with resolving your various difficulties.

Oh, and a big thank you as well to the sun god

Thanks again to Mart and Gill, also Hanna and Bobbi for braving Tuffin's.
Cheers to everyone for the company and Geoff's new woolly friend for the entertainment.

Yes, I may only have been a visitor but without Mart and Gill's efforts I'd have had nothing to visit. Thanks to you both for your hard work.

I too did my best to take in the Tuffins experience .... I called in at the Texaco there on the way home!

..... as for Geoff and Flossy the sheep, I'm sure they will be very happy - there are not many sheep that can time their Baaa-ing to such comic effect.

One thing that will haunt my nightmares for years to come was the sight of the assembled members of the Ridersite Bolshoi sporting their Aldi compression tights .... not a pretty sight ..........

That's rich from the man wearing "it ain't half hot mum" shorts...

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

You missed the sighting of the Great White Whale preparing to migrate back to its Norfolk home

Thanks for coming Andy; nice to catch up with you after such a long time

For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

Thanks to Mart for all the organising and everyone else for the excellent company!

Would have been a perfect weekend if it wasn't for the breakdown about 7 miles from home! My Scottish trip is now seriously in doubt as I think the shaft drive has gone again.

Had to wait an hour and a half for recovery, got home about 10.

Obviously don't know yet, but probably a bit of the innards of the shaft drive for a Kawasaki GT550 G4 - don't know which bit yet, and don't know whether different years will fir, I shall ask a man who does!

I had it fixed some years ago and the engineer said another part was worn but would last for some time - I guess it was some time ago!

BTW Pete - you may get a membership request from someone called (I think) Jeff - the recovery driver was a motorcyclist and he rides............ a Falco!

Only I could listen to falco talk all weekend and then have my recovery driver bend my ear about Falcos the rest of the way home! :smt003

We shouldn't let your first forum post go without a welcome - even if some of us have already met you!
So ... welcome to the forum :)

BG .... really, there is no need to follow Pete's lead when it comes to bike reliability .... unless the forthcoming "Good Breakdown Recovery Guide" is now being co-authored.

..... and what are the chances that you'd be rescued by a Falco rider :smt005

I really do hope you can get it fixed easily and it doesn't mess up your plans for Scotland.

As last year, there was a small 'profit' on the catering; that, with the kind donation from the nice chaps from Devon, has been donated to RiderSite, to help with server costs. Hope that meets with your approval.
