Welcome to the forum, Dale. I think most people just bung the cans on and don't bother with a chip. If you make more than one mod to the inlet or exhaust, then a chip may well be advisable, but I've been running a set of Akras with modified headers and I'm still on the standard chip.

If you go for an airbox mod (there are many different flavours) as well as the cans, then that is probably the time to look at an upgraded chip or Power Commander. From all accounts the Gabro chips come highly recommended.

ooo - another east anglian.....

welcome, and tell us about how much money you were planning on spending....

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Rom what I gather Dale whether it will make it go better depends mostly on the colour rather than any technical modification. What colour did you say it was again?
For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.

I have some motad venoms and i fitted the baffles and there was a noticeable difference, it lost a bit of power has it could not fart freely so over standard yes there should be a power gain :smt003

I think you will gain a couple of bhp - main thing is likely to be quicker pick up.... And sounding lIke a proper V twin....
