in all honesty, the next post will be either a) how likely is it that a few bacon-butties nd mugs or tea would get my sprag sorted? or b) what would said repair cost at Southern X or similar, or can anyone direct me to a sub-3k sale worth refinancing my granny for?

Dunno how much London's finest (Southern cross) will cost but i'm sure if you speak to Don Plane directly he should sort you out. (introduce yourself as kiwiboy from RiderSite and you've been sent.. etc, etc)

For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

Poverty and procrastination means I won't be Falco-ing before October bugrit. Riding Shanks's pony through my longest bikeless purgatory in 15 years. Character building I'm sure. :smt012

If its any consolation ive been doing that bikeless purgatory for the last 2 years... well, I have a bike, just no time or effort or money to fix it at the moment!

Still paying bloody insurance though... :smt012

... yeah, I figured I wouldn't have exclusive rights to that moan :smt016 Still, it's good to vent plasma about the proverbial warp-core (or lack thereof -spot the nerd). Toying with hitch-hiking to norfolk regardless :smt016

Wouldn't be the same without you mate.
In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular.

If it's just a case of tightening the spring on the sprag, you're not too far from SW London, and know how to operate a kettle, I could always pop over one weekend and give you a hand?

Assuming mine goes back together ok!

...any first hand advice would be welcome - even just someone spanner-wise to open the thing and tell me how bad it really is. I've been a bit fatalistic about the whole situation - I've had the time, just not the motivation to get anything done about it. The MOT came and went about a week after it 'stopped' and now she's SORN. :smt009

It's an easy enough job really when you've got the correct tools, the hardest (literally) part was getting the flywheel off.

If you do want a hand drop me a pm and we'll sort something out, although I need to get one of my bikes working first!
