Cheers Dale. Yeah, I'm drawing up a mods list only things done so far are minor bits - headlight dip beam, HiD conversion and a decent horn (Stebel Nautilus - geez they're LOUD!). Anyone know if a mille swing arm fits 'cos then I can put the OZee's on it?
Do you fancy sending some of that Aussie sunshine over here - we could certainly do with it. Don't know what's happened to summer, it's not like when I were a kid, used to get proper summers then.....

Well a Mille fits a Falco, a Fut Fut one fits a Falco apparently, so I would imagine Yes.

And vice versa here's an RSVR with a Fut swingarm..

Nice plan Dave ..... but as with the mod going the other way, you've got the problem of the speed signal to sort out.

The FutFut sensor monitors the rear wheel bearing whereas the Falco/mille monitors the rear disc bolts ... and they are a different number of pulses per revolution.

I think the solution that tends to be adopted is to junk the Aprilia dash and fit an aftermarket one like a Veypor VR2 or something.
Not sure if that gives any additional problems on the Fut.

Could always go for the half-way house and do the front end I guess .... though Mart has said the forks and discs are different so I'm not sure whether that gives any problems with the OZ front wheel.

I think (& I stress 'think') Mille/Falco front wheels are a slightly different width across the centre of the wheel. Also, the Fut's calipers are positioned to suit their slightly smaller (300 mm) discs. So you'd need to change the forks, and/or the yokes, to accommodate your Oz wheel.

RSV Showa forks will fit easily. They're a bit shorter than Fut forks, so they'd lower your front end, which some like.
Fut discs are smaller (300 mm) than those on other models, & the calipers are slightly different - but they seem to work pretty well.

Should you be interested, I've some Showa forks off an early-ish ('00 - '01, I think) Mille, with the calipers, which I'm not going to put on the Fut - project cancelled 'cos I want to fit bar risers.

Hey Rich, how are you doing? I keep promising myself I'll pop over one weekend for a chat and a catch up -so long as your kettle is still working! Are you getting much riding in? I thought your beemer would have been the height of comfort - I can certainly recommend the Fut from that perspective. Gel saddle maybe? Remember me to Lisa and the kids.

I'm in the process of purchasing a 2nd hand seat with a Gel insert that Tony Archer has done so hopefully I'll be sitting comfortably from now on. The std seat is a joke!
The miles keep going on though, done 3,000 so far this year with a Euro tour looming in September (Spain / Andorra / France) and next year we are doing Germany / Switzerland / Italy & the Alps so.............its a good bike for mile munching. Cost me a fortune in bits but a pair of WP shocks has transformed it into a really well handling machine.
Overall I lke it at lot but I do miss the power of the Tuono. Thanks for your kind wishes and the same to you and yours
