Good! Things are coming together today.

Booshlite has taken the remaining space (and joined the forum :smt003 ) and I've spoken with Griff.

He's all set for Saturday and promises to have the kettle on and biccies at the ready.
Turn up at 10 but if you're held up a little, don't worry too much - we'll be getting through our first cuppas before we really get going.

Check your tyre pressures before you come too.

If anyone coming doesn't have my mobile number and wants it, then drop me a pm.

I'm really looking forward to this :smt003 :smt004

Ian - any news on your fairing bracket?

Well I've just got back from a really good day.
It was great to meet everyone again and one or two for the first time.
It was also great to get the suspension set up a bit better on my bike - but above all to learn enough to get over the fear of adjusting the suspension.

Without doubt I've had to revise my "best value foe money expenditure on the Falco".

Many thanks Griff and Zoe - you made us so welcome, kept us supplied with drinks and snacks and taught us a lot.

When we organise another of these setup days, get yourselves on it - you won't be disappointed.

Also I have no hesitation in giving a big plug to Aprilia Performance if you want :
  • Your bike serviced
    Your bike set up
    Aprilia spares and accessories
You can be sure Griff and Zoe will see you right.

Yeah the best tenner I've spent, considering the vast differences in people’s (well me really) knowledge, experience and understanding the day was very successful. If another day gets organised GET ON IT!

A big shout out to Andy for organising it, and yes Griff and Zo are stars. I'll be booking my bike in for it's major service and to have my Ohlins shocker and Mille swinger fitted. The best thing is, if you want to, Griff encourages you to stay and see how to do these jobs are done on your bike, get some great first hand experience and understanding of how it all works and goes together, now how many garages let you do that!

Good to meet the people behind the posts also.

Cheers
Oli

a fantastic day all for a tenner.(i got my tenners worth in food and drink). thanks andy for setting this up.different tyre pressures and minor tweeks to my suspension have transformed my bike.also adjusting my levers gave me a wrist ache free ride home.Griff and zo are tops, good look to them both.

Yes, excellent day out, great to meet all the people behind the nicknames and big thanks to Griff and Zoe for an excellent days education, enjoyment, tea-drinking and biscuit-eating. And thanks to Andy for organising it; nice one...

Just apparently little things like proper throttle free play adjustment, tyre pressures and lever position make a major difference to how you feel about the bike, and the bike felt much more part of me on the way home. Thanks, Griff!
