Very amusing Viking!
I'm only stopping something I enjoy for about 10 mins out of a 80 minute commute. The rest of it is dull and hard work on the Falco so that's why I'm changing the bike to a commuter type. Plus putting 15,000 miles a year on a 10 yr old Deauville or a Divvy 900 is less value reducing than doing it on the Falco.
If I could afford to be a 2 bike owner I'd keep the Falco but then again the weekend rideouts are being knocked on the head for a few years.
I'll still enjoy the freedom of riding a bike though
Value me please

Simon, congratulations! Being a Dad is the most important thing you'll do, and only you can decide what balance to strike between non-family fun, your safety and time at home. I got back into biking three years ago after a long layoff, and although I lusted after bikes when the kids were young, it was only when they were into their teens and doing their own thing that I felt comfortable returning to two wheels. I'm having a blast now! Do I regret waiting so long? No, because I know I spent as much time with the children that I could while retaining other, safer hobbies. It may be a cliché that they grow up fast but believe me, they do! All the best with your choice and the new family member.

Thanks Dusty, very much appreciated.
Me and the Falco look like sticking together for a little while longer by default due to a clutch problem the day before a potential part ex.!! Now I don't have another weekend free until mid November.
Maybe I'll sell it privatley now and hopefully get more than a dealer would give me and be a cash buyer come the winter.
Bugger it, still, now I get a lie in tomorrow instead of getting up at 7am to be in Chichester for 9 and serious haggling!
