Ah, bugger. Looks like a good meet, sorry I missed it. Oasis was having a good weekend though - she was shlepping across the continent for the annual pilgrimmage to Le Mans :)

Great pics everyone. I'd love to lead a ride through North Yorks if anyone is up for it. Could meet at the Humber Bridge (then lead you through Beverly, Malton, across the moors to Castleton, Guisbourough to Stokesley then back over the famous Bilsdale run back to Helmesley.

Could then either go to York (A19) and split or Thirsk (A1) and split from there.

Let me know :smt006

Yep, probably be up for that Dave - other commitments permitting. There are some stunning roads up that way - if you can arrange for the sun shine you might get F9 out too :smt003 (ducks for the incoming....)
The ride is the reason ........ the destination is just the excuse.

Ok looks like there's a few people . I'm away on hols 1st week in May then helping my lad move to Brighton the next couple of weekends. It's likely to be June or July but I'll start a thread nearer the time.

cheers.

..'tis true about the helmets - they also prevent sunlight reaching the head which makes the hair lose it's natural colour and turn grey. No, really - it's a scientifically proved fact - I'm SURE I read it somewhere :smt017

It's not that the helmets have rubbed the hair off, it's because we are not that old and havn't got all our hair yet.

Or that i'm 5'9" and my hair is 5'4"

Ligloo - we look even better in the flesh - I swear I am not that bald or grey. Trust me I look in the mirror every day and I just don't see it. The camera must have been faulty or the light was bad :smt017

Well I'm old, fat, ugly and balding ..... at least, that's what the mrs tells me.

Having a policy of avoiding cameras and mirrors I'll have to trust her judgement.

At least it's a good excuse that I should be involved in an activity where it is required that I wear a helmet.
